The design is based on a recursive subdivision system where a triangle is subdivided and perturb to create more triangle polygons. Each new triangle polygons are repeated with the same process to create a structure. The perturbation vector is randomized to create a chaotic yet controlled structure.  Each process is repeated multiple times, creating a more intricate structure each time and all intersections are removed.

The new triangles created after each iteration is selected based on the distance towards an attractor to continue the process or growing. By moving the attractor, the direction of iteration growth can be controlled.
